Prom 2011

This group was wide open and fun!  When I arrived at the studio Saturday it was packed.  Stephanie Kelly of S.Kelly Makeup was already doing their makeup and I opened the door to music jamming and about 30 people hanging out and having fun!  We loved photographing these girls and their dates for Northside Prom 2011 and here are just a few from the ton of images we got that day!  Hope everyone had a safe fun night!  Thanks Heather!!!

Katelyn and Jamie, Prom 2011

Kateyln is one of our 2012 Senior Models and Jamie is a 2011 Senior Model.  They are a wonderful couple to photograph and were the last session of the day for Northside Senior Prom day.  The light was perfect and so was the couple.  Thanks to Jamie, Katleyn and their families.  Happy Prom 2011!!!  Stay tuned for more of Katelyn, SENIOR MODEL 2012!

My Prom

Someone asked me yesterday during one of the prom shoots if I remember my senior prom.  Of course.  It was 199……well the 90′s.  I went with a great group of friends both years and had a blast.  Junior year with Corrin Riley and Senior year with Amy Fields.  I found some photos from my prom at my parents house.  My junior year I was going for the “Brandon Walsh 90210″ look.  Senior year…ummm…not really sure. The important thing to remember when looking at these pictures is that I thought that I was cool.

Colton and Amy-2011 senior Prom

The first prom couple we photographed yesterday was 2011 Senior, Colton, and his date and great friend, Amy.  Such a fun shoot and they looked great.  I applaud them for being ready at 2:30 so they could get in a photo session with us.  We also timed it perfectly for Duncan the horse to come trotting down the street and jump in a few pictures.  Thanks Colton and Amy!

Location: Downtown Columbus

Renewal of Vows-Stephanie and Lance

Congrats to Stephanie and Lance who renewed their marriage vows with Pastor Bill Purvis at Cascade Hills Church. After the ceremony we spent a little time around downtown Columbus on a session.  Best wishes Lance and Stephanie…we love yall!

Mirinda and Steve-Maternity Session

Yes we do photograph a limited number of Maternity Sessions…especially when we are contacted by an amazing couple from Atlanta, Mirinda and Steve Hall. They are expecting Lily very soon and we were excited to meet them and create this maternity session. We all agreed that we wanted to do something different than the heart shaped hands across the belly or the blocks spelling the baby’s name across the tummy. In fact we had a blast talking about what we all didn’t want to convey in the images.

That is where the Corvette comes in. That is Steve’s “other baby” and we hope it will be still be around when Lily gets here! We started the session in Maple Ridge at Mirinda’s parents home and finished in downtown Historic Columbus. The weather, outfits, and locations all came together perfectly. I want to thank Mirinda’s sister, their mother, and senior student, Madelyn, for assisting on the shoot.

Thank yall so much for choosing us to capture these sessions. And Steve didn’t even have to take his shirt off and show his belly. We look forward to Lily’s arrival!

Lee-Cassie and Stephen, Engagement Session

I will never know why Stephen, who grew up so close to Athens, GA, and Lee-Cassie, whose family is from Alabama, decided to go to Auburn University.  But I was able to look past that for the engagement session with a wonderful couple.  The couple is about to graduate from Auburn and move to Washingston state.  Auburn is where they met and where the Tigers won a National Championship their senior year.  So they wanted to incorporate that into their session.  Toomer’s Corner, Sanford Hall, Jordan-Hare Stadium….we got it all!  I have actually never been in Jordan-Hare when my UGA DAWGS have lost…I continued that record on this shoot!

Congrats Stephen and Lee-Cassie…yall make it look good! Thanks for the incredible session! I’ll never EVER say it again…but “War Eagle” :)

Auburn engagement session

I thought I would post a video from a wonderful couples’ engagement session in Auburn.  This is what I get for talking all the smack about Auburn my whole life!  :)  But I still say GO DAWGS!!!

Congrats Stephen and Lee-Cassie…image post to follow!
