Couples

McLaurin/Pound

Of course I had to capture some killer images of Scott and Lindsay.  They each have beautiful children and we were able to create some images after photographing the kids.

They make it look good.  And this is why I love photographing couples!

Thanks Scott and Lindsay.

Alex & Shane-Engagement Session

The Pierce family is very special to us.  We photographed Tori Pierce as a 2010 SeniorModel.  And now we finally get to photograph her older sister Alex!  Congrats Alex and Shane!!

We were so honored that Alex and Shane chose us for their engagement session.  It was great to spend time with the Pierces again on a shoot.  Monica (Alex’s mom) was there for some behind the scenes pictures and I made Tori carry my reflector.  Shane’s mom was on the session also and everyone made the shoot go smooth. We photographed on location in downtown Pine Mountain and inside Callaway Gardens.  It was a perfect white overcast sky which made for some amazing light.

Shane is a Bama fan and Alex mistakingly pulls for Auburn…so we had to incorporate that into the shoot.  That always makes for some great married memories Saturdays in the fall during SEC football season.  This was the perfect engagement session and another couple that makes me consider shooting weddings.  But only consider..haha.  They will be in good hands with JKDallas Photography.

Alex and Shane we love yall and enjoyed spending time with everyone on the session.  Yall make it look easy.  Remember that during the Auburn-Alabama game this year.

Some of these were shot behind the scenes by Monica!  I did the shot with Shane’s dip can as a joke and a jab at my fellow wedding photography friends :)

Sara Shaver-Portrait Session

Sara came to us with the idea of creating some images for her husband’s birthday.  And I have to say that beats getting a tool box, a fishing pole, or a new tie!  We worked with Stephanie Kelly to create several different looks and locations for her portfolio.  I met her husband at the Dancing with the Columbus Stars event last weekend and he was very happy with these images.  He is a mustang fan so I also want to thank Ray’s from Ray’s Uptown Garage for locating one for us!

Thanks Sara for an awesome session and wonderful energy on the entire shoot!

NewsLeader Engagement-Derek and Taylor

I’m excited that more and more couples are placing importance on the quality and experience of their engagement session.  And we are also excited to be chosen by Derek and Taylor to capture their engagement session.  Derek is a weather man on our news station and has done an incredible job over the last few weeks with all the storms in the region.  His twitter feed and facebook page are always staying updated and he must never sleep…especially recently.  Taylor is talented reporter locally as well and full of energy, creativity, and drive.  They do make a great team.  As long as Derek agrees with what Taylor says….hahaha!

The couple will be getting married in Tennessee and we had a great time planning their engagement session together.  Only the future wife of a weatherman would pray for a bad, rainy, day to happen on their shoot.   Taylor loves her book so we had to incorporate some of her favorite titled works on the shoot.  I also wanted to convey their busy lifestyle but placing them in the middle of traffic! And So we made it work!  I want to thank the couple for a wonderful session and also thanks to Matt Gillespie of MJGillispie Photography for his assistance on the shoot.

Calvary Prom 2011-Sally and Madison

Prom season has wrapped up and we had some great sessions this year.  I appreciate the families and juniors/seniors that chose us to create sessions for them.

I am sure that these are two of the prettiest girls at Calvary’s Prom this year.  Thanks Madison and Sally who are both 2012 Senior Models for John Pyle Photography.  We had a great time with the girls, their dates, and their families in historic downtown Columbus.

Thanks everyone for a great prom season!
